Hello Google Cloud Security Community!

Matt Nichols here. You may have seen me answering posts, starting conversations, hosting some webinars. It’s been an exciting last year building our Community together. A big kudos to all of you, our Community members, that have helped us make this a thriving marketplace for conversations, learning, Q&A, thought leadership and more. We have some exciting news to share with you. The Google Cloud Security Community will be moving to a new, dedicated platform on Gainsight at the end of the month!

We strongly feel this move will significantly enhance your Google Cloud Security community experience. We believe that a powerful, connected Community is essential for your success in securing cloud environments. And this will empower us to deliver the best Google Cloud Security products and Community programs to you. We will always remain committed to providing you with the most relevant support, cutting-edge content, and a vibrant space to connect, learn, and amplify your expertise.

What's Changing:

  • A Dedicated Platform: The Google Cloud Security Community will be moving from the Google Cloud Community (GCC) to a brand new platform. This new platform will be solely dedicated to Google Cloud Security topics.

  • Enhanced Features and Programs: Expect an improved user interface, more robust features designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the security domain. Also, be on the lookout for a few new programs coming to Community!

  • Focused Discussions: You'll find more relevant discussions, targeted resources, and easier access to security experts and Google Cloud Security team members.

What's Not Changing:

  • Your Content: All your existing posts, comments, and profile information will be migrated to the new platform.

  • Community Focus: We're still committed to building a vibrant and supportive community, where you can connect with peers, share insights, and get answers to your questions.

  • Continued Support: Google Cloud Security team members will continue to actively participate in the community, providing updates, answering questions, and sharing best practices.

Will we have to do any manual applying to be included in the migration, or is this automatic?

Hello Matt,

Thanks for sharing. I received the email and its really exciting news!

I am just curious about the reasons why Google Cloud Community will became part of the Google Developer Program ? And what will change in terms of features, and opportunities in the new forum ?

Best,

Hi @Abdelkarim_Hani Thank you for your post and your excitement. Check out GCC's post here. It might provide answers to your question.

If you are referring to what changes in our Community? We have an FAQ that highlights all of that. Let me know what questions you might have.

Hope that helps and see you soon in the new platform!
