Hello,

My Firebase project has been suspended for "Phishing," resulting in a "Site Not Found" error. I believe this is a false positive and would like to request a manual review to reinstate the project.

Project Context: This is an educational resource site providing independent study guides for students.

Why this is a False Positive:

  1. No Sensitive Data Collection: The site does not contain any login forms, password fields, or requests for personal/financial information.

  2. Independent Educational Content: While the site mentions exam boards (Pearson/Cambridge) in a legal disclaimer, it is a non-affiliated resource library for students.

  3. Harmless Logic: The Firebase Realtime Database scripts are used solely for a public visitor counter and do not track private user data.

Actions Taken:

  • I have reviewed the source code for any malicious scripts.

  • I am ready to modify the site immediately if specific elements are deemed non-compliant, but I currently cannot access the hosting to do so.

Request: Could a Community Manager please escalate this to the Trust & Safety / Google Cloud Compliance team for a manual review?

Ticket Reference ID for appeal:  MZMJD76UAI5LCYKPK6RPZEIR5Q

Thank you for your help.

Hi @topical.pro

All appeals need to be submitted through the Google Cloud Console.

  • Once logged in, select the affected project.
  • Click on the Appeal or Request Review link located in the notification banner at the top of the dashboard.

Be sure to include the following details in the appeal form to expedite a manual review:

  • Root Cause: A brief explanation of why the activity occurred (e.g., a security compromise, testing error, or specific architectural design).

  • Remediation: Explicitly state what actions you have taken to fix the issue (e.g., "Deleted unauthorized VMs," "Updated firewall rules," or "Implemented new authentication").

  • Business Use Case: A short description of the legitimate purpose of your project.

Important Considerations:

  • Timeline: Manual reviews typically take 2 to 5 business days, though complex cases may take longer.

  • Avoid Multiple Submissions: Sending multiple appeals for the same Case ID can often reset your place in the queue and delay the process.

  • Paid Support: If you have a Standard, Enhanced, or Premium support plan, you can open a support ticket to request a status update on an existing appeal, though the Support team cannot directly overturn a Trust & Safety decision.

I hope this helps get your project back on track!
