Administrator permission over my own project ?

A project appearing in your Google Cloud project selector does not mean that you own or administer it.

If you did not create the project and your account has not been granted an IAM role, you cannot grant yourself administrator access. Google’s IAM documentation confirms that users who cannot modify the project’s access policy must have an existing project or organization administrator approve the request. �

First, verify:

You are signed into the intended Google account.

The exact project ID and organization shown in the error.

The account/principal listed in the permission-denied message.

If this is a company or school account, contact the Google Workspace or Cloud Identity administrator who manages that organization. If it is supposed to be a project you personally own, check IAM & Admin to confirm whether your account is listed as an Owner; only an existing owner or principal with permission to modify the IAM policy can restore access. �

Do not post the project ID or account details publicly. If no administrator is reachable, provide the project ID, billing ownership evidence, and the full permission error privately through your organization’s Google Cloud Support channel. Repeated access requests alone will not change the project’s IAM policy.
