Hello Google Cloud Security Community,
My name is Thineth and I am a [removed by moderator] . I work in website development, and I have been paying close attention to the impact of AI (Artificial Intelligence) on Gen Z and Gen Alpha generations.
Given the recent regulatory fines imposed on tech companies, I believe we need to shift from a "reactive" model of simply paying fines to a "proactive" model using Cloud AI.
I have two proposals that I would love to get your feedback on:
1. Implementing "Guardian AI Agents" at the Platform Level
Especially with billions of users across languages like Sinhala and Tamil, human moderation is not a practical task.
Proposal: Implement lightweight "Guardian Agents" using Google Cloud's Vertex AI and Cloud Functions. This would enable us to:
- Block 18+ uploads before they are shown to users under 18
- Detect cyberbullying patterns in real-time in comments or DMs
- Trigger mental health resources when self-harm language is detected
2. Utilizing AI chatbots not merely as tools for providing answers, but as teachers AI chatbots should be configured to function as teachers, rather than being limited to simply providing direct answers. - Creating data dashboards for parents and teachers using BigQuery and Looker to provide insights into digital well-being.
Implementing rules for AI chatbots to prevent them from providing answers to problems that young children should think through independently
This is the implementation of a "Security by Design" concept for our youngest users.
My Question to the Community:
As Cloud Architects and Security Engineers, how feasible is it to build such a "proactive safety layer" on GCP? What are the main technical and ethical challenges that could arise?
I look forward to hearing your insights, architectural suggestions, and feedback!
Best regards,
Thineth
