Getting Started

So, I've been in this community for a while now and I'm still not really sure what it's all about. Since we can't even use the Google/Mandiant tools, why is that what everyone talks about? I think it could be awesome if more members could get involved.

Hello Google Cloud Community,I am seeking assistance with a service restriction that appears to be stuck in an automated loop.The Situation:My account was restricted on April 1, 2026, for "Abusive Activities." On April 10, I received an email from Google Cloud Trust & Safety stating that my project opportune-ruler-492006-h2 has been reinstated. However, I still cannot access the Console or Billing Support; it remains blocked with the "Submit Appeal" screen.Resolution Steps Already Taken:Tax Info: I have successfully submitted my India Tax Information in the Payments Center, and it was officially Accepted. Appeal: I have attempted to appeal via the console form multiple times, but I receive no Case IDs and no follow-up. Communication: I replied to the reinstatement email, but r

Is it possible to change my preferences somehow to light mode in the Community forums here? It is extremely difficult for my eyes to focus and read light text on a dark background in it self. And when my focus travels to another window that is light mode, it takes a moment for my eyes to try and adjust.

Clicking the “Create” button when submitting a new post results in some form of status message.  Maybe it says “Your post has been submitted”.  Maybe it says something about adding tags.  Maybe it says something about duplicate posts. … How about making that status message more visible?  Maybe add it somewhere… I don’t know… even close to the button used to submit the post?  Currently, the window just scrolls up slightly and it’s hidden in a sea of other text using the same font/color.  Super easy to miss if you rarely have time to use the forums.

Often when I am trying to create a new topic, and hitting the CREATE button, the screen jumps op to jut above the Description text box? No error message, but topic not created? 

Hi all,   I’ve looked into the documentation created by the Google team on subscriptions and notifications:  I don’t see anything regarding RSS feeds within the new platform. Does this functionality still exist or is there a plan to still support RSS? TIA 

I noticed that after submitting a question in the community, a message appears at the top saying "Your post has been submitted." However, this message isn’t very eye-catching, and since the Title, Description, and Tags remain editable and unchanged in appearance, it can be a bit confusing — at least that’s been my experience.Suggestion:It might be helpful if, after a successful submission: The Title, Description, and Tags fields are grayed out or locked, indicating that the post has been submitted. A more prominent popup or toast notification confirms the successful submission, instead of a static message at the top. Just sharing my experience — curious if anyone else feels the same way or has suggestions to improve the UX here.Thanks!

Ok I give up - how do you DM other GC Security Coimmunity users?“Please add at least on e public tag” no tag for “community” - admin?

I find it a little ironic that my little test firebase project that uses Firebase Auth and Microsoft and Google single signin got flagged by Google as being a suspicious phishing site and flashed a bright red screen on the browser right when I was demonstrating it to a customer.Whereas the single Google SignIn on this “security” forum shows a seemingly unrelated company called insided.com on the Signin pop up… I’m sure the badly written AI phishing identifier program will take care of this in dure course.

The following is what I would like to be added as a feature for Google Admins:There was an internal email from my organizations Human Resources department that was sent to the entire company with a red banner indicating it was potential spam. The option to mark as “Looks Safe” was displayed to view the contents on the email.There should be a way for Admins to mark internal emails as safe on post delivery. As of right now, the Investigation tool only allows us to classify as spam, phishing, etc. This would be the other way around and could help organizations from high spam score/classifications from within the company.

Do anyone here who have just got a mail from Google cloud security portal community regarding swags and goodies .I have redeem the gifts and it's  coming from OGDEN UT (United states of america) to India Through fedex International .Do I need to pay any taxes or any custom duty for this .
