You can do this from the search screen by multi-selecting cases

From the Cases screen you can also click this to multi-select and close cases by clicking this button

We have some code, from Siemplify PS, that allows to do the same from the IDE, but still limited to 50 cases per execution as this is an API limit. Still this is the fastest way in situations where you need to clean up hundreds of cases.
