We're currently looking to migrate to Google SecOps for SIEM and SOAR and wanted to see if there is a free/community edition that we could investigate our options with.

I'm seeing conflicting posts in this forum about if the free edition is deprecated and unavailable or simply rebranded.

What's the real answer? If there is a community/free edition available, how it that being accessed. I see mention of a filling in a form, but I think I've already done that to get access to this forum.

Appreciate any guidance in this matter.

I did not find any answers here. But it sounded like no community edition
available for use. Google team asks us to fill a form to get access.

Others can correct me if I am wrong.

Hi @Jez_K,

I believe the process is to submit the form on the following webpage, from a valid Business email address - https://cloud.google.com/security/resources/security-community.

Alternatively, sending an email to the below may be helpful if you are not getting any response.

secopscommunitysupport@google.com

Kind Regards,

Ayman

hey all,

quickly checked with our team, the suggested way to approach this, as @AymanC suggested above, is to fill the form requesting community edition.

I have filled in the form. When I filled in the form the second time I got a notification to say that I already had an account, but when I attempted to 'reset my password' I never received an email with instructions on how to do so. (yes, spam filters/folders were checked).

I assume it's my google account that I log in with so I used those credentials and get this error.
