Is it possible to receive an email notification from the SOAR system whenever I or my role are assigned to a case by another analyst or role, or when a new task is assigned to me? (not by playbook).

Assignment and task notifications can be set in the bell icon next to your profile photo on the top right of the SOAR platform and checking the corresponding fields under the email column.
You will need to configure the mail settings though at [base url]/#/settings/email-settings.
