How to calculate the Google License ?

Hi All,

I just want to know how to calculate the Google SecOps License

Can someone confirm whether it calculated from throughput value or ingested events
When I raised case with Google Support, I got to know it is calculated via ingested events, but I didn’t get the formula. Usually, we sign contract with google in GB/TB for period of year.

Is that true?

  • Initial Balance: When you purchase Google SecOps, your billing account is credited with a balance equal to the total amount of gigabytes (GB) or terabytes (TB) purchased for the contract term.
  • Metering: As security telemetry (raw logs) is ingested the system meters the actual bytes processed.
  • Drawdown: This actual usage "draws down" from your credit balance. You can track this in the Google Cloud billing console under the "Bytes of data ingested" SKU.
