I have seen “Integration - Updated integration action definitions to meet the new requirements of IDE” come up in lots of SOAR integration updates. What new requirements are being referenced? Is there some kind of deadline by which these updates have to be implemented?

Take a look at the new Requirements for publishing integrations.  There are new Enhanced Action Requirements: There are specific requirements for publishing integrations and defining actions within the IDE. These include:

  • Clearly describing what the action does.
  • Following the default Integrated Development Environment (IDE) action template.
  • Defining all relevant action parameters with descriptions and matching parameter types.
  • Designing actions to run in the context of an alert where applicable.
  • Adding logs for complex actions and logging all exceptions or errors with the correct severity level. (Source: Requirements for publishing integrations)
