Hey folks,
This week we released an update to the Siemplify Integration. As part of it, we released a new job - “Response Integration & Connector Upgrade Job”.
You can use it be automatically notified about new integration version or to automatically upgrade the integrations and connector instances.
❗Note: this feature is still in preview and can be changed in the future.❗
Overview
Response Integration & Connector Upgrade Job supports 2 modes:
- Notification
- Upgrade
If the job is configured in the “Notification” mode, it will only provide a System notification, when a new version of the integration is released.
There is a caveat though, System notifications work differently from User notifications. You need to manually check, if there is a notification for it. Here is how it’s expected to look like:

When user notifications will be available through API, we will support them as well, but for now this is how it will work.
If the job is configured in the “Upgrade” mode, it will automatically upgrade integrations and connectors.
The scope of the job can be influenced by the following parameters:

Ontology Handling
As you know, when updating the integration you have an option to overwrite existing ontology in the platform with the one that is shipped with the integration itself.
If you have a lot of custom changes to the ontology, then the recommendation is to not overwrite anything. For this purpose we have a dedicated parameter called “Ignore Ontology Mapping Update For Integrations", where you need to provide a comma-separated list of integration identifiers and it will not overwrite the ontology for those integration.
If you have any feedback, we would happy to hear about it!
