Have Remote Agents been tested on CentOS 8 or is there a hard requirement for CentOS 7?

CentOS 8 is dead if my memories are right

I mean there's little difference, since the docker container is also just running CentOS 7.

just wish that some more modern OSs were supported other than CentOS 7. or that the Docker container used something more modern.

@Ben_Montour
I will be testing on Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04 hopefully today or tomorrow. I will let you know

that would be fantastic!

@Ben_Montour
I built a fresh 20.04 LTS installing docker during the build. setup the remote agent without issue. I then did a release upgrade to 22.04.1. after reboot, started the container and it checked in. As stated above, it is docker so underlying OS shouldn't matter. But I will tell on my first deploy, Ubuntu as underlying didn't work. but it does now.

Good to know
.
Just wanted alternatives to the CentOS 7 that was part of the default container

Plans to release an official
s
upported container running on top of Ubuntu?

Am I? no. I just used the default

Sorry for bringing back up an old post.
@Louis_Mesmin
how big of a mount point do you use or recommend for the Remote Agent Docker container?

my docker team is asking what it will need and I don't see that documented anywhere

it does, thank you!
