Is it advisable to install the SAOR remote agent on a machine located in the DMZ? The intent is for the remote agent to communicate with the on-premises QRadar instance.

I would not recommend it but with the proper restraints in place it's certainly feasible.
This should work. The remote agent is designed to work with on prem instances to communicate with SOAR.
