Is there a way to send emails from playbooks without having to use our own SMTP or Graph account?
I can see that under Settings > Advanced > Email Settings we can select: Google SecOps SMTP as an option...
Are we able to use this SMTP for emails in the playbook?

As of now, there is no way to send emails on behalf of Google SecOps in the playbooks. Can you elaborate what is the concern with using your accounts?
In addition to @ylandovskyy comment, you will need an email address that you / your organization controls, but you do not need to be hosting your own SMTP server, you can use Google's IMAP and SMTP servers. (Not sure if this is limited to orgs using Workspace though).
I'm using the EmailV2 integration and it works without any issues: https://cloud.google.com/chronicle/docs/soar/marketplace-integrations/email-v2.
