just to verify - are you using Splunk cloud with a self signed certificate? or Siemplify with self signed certificate?
i guess it's option 2, but just want to make sure i understand the question

i think you can skip the "verify ssl" part. of couse, highly not recommended, but it might help if both of the above won't work
