We have a number of clients who have access to their reCAPTCHA keys currently via the console. We usually create the keys, then invite the client as an owner of the site. Other clients may even have multiple owners in their organisation. Presumably anyone with access to a reCAPTCHA key will be getting emails about keys for migration.

If no action is taken and the keys are migrated automatically, where will the GCP project be created and who will have access to the new project? If there is a single owner, how is the owner determined as reCAPTCHA’s existing admin console doesn’t seem to provide a way of determining who the person who originally created the key is?

Hi @Z7-Matt ,

When the automated migration process runs, a new Google Cloud Platform (GCP) project will be created to hold all keys that share the same owners. All key owners will be invited to this new project.

For example, if a key is owned by you (owner A) and a client (owner 😎, you'll both be invited to Project A. If another key is owned by you (owner A) and a different client (owner C), you'll both be invited to Project B. These projects will not be within an organization.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Emily

If an owner of the reCAPTCHA key wishes to choose the GCP project and/or organization where the key will be moved, they can do so by performing the migration themselves:
