I have legacy reCAPTCHA v2 and v3 keys in use across a number of websites. I’ve received the notification that my keys are eligible for migration to Google Cloud.

Since I set up these keys, I’ve started to consolidate my web development on a separate Google account for work purposes. So, ideally, I’d like migrate my legacy keys to a Google Cloud project associated with a different Google account than the one that the legacy keys are associated with. I’d also like to continue to use the legacy endpoints for now.

Is it going to be possible to achieve these aims through manual migration?

Hello,

I believe you’ll be able to achieve this by adding the new account as an owner of the keys in the reCAPTCHA admin console on the key settings page. Then you can migrate the keys to a project associated with that account or create a new one to migrate the keys to.

Alternatively, you can give the account associated with the keys reCAPTCHA Enterprise Admin permissions on the new project. Then you should be able to migrate the keys to that project and subsequently remove permissions for that account if needed.

The key integration should not be affected by migration. You will still be able to use the legacy endpoints.

More information about migration can be found here https://cloud.google.com/recaptcha/docs/migrate-recaptcha.

That worked for migrating legacy keys to Google Cloud projects for my new account. That’s been very helpful to me, thank you. Do you know if there’s a way to move a key that’s already been migrated to a Google Cloud project in another account over to a Google Cloud project  in my new account?
